The District of San Francisco New Orleans has announced the appointment of its first Director of Leadership Formation. Janell Kloosterman, AFSC, current principal and chief academic officer of Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado, will begin the new role in the summer of 2018. Kloosterman will conclude her 27 years of service at Mullen at the end of the 2017-2018 academic year.
The director of leadership formation, a new position within the SFNO Office of Education, will be responsible for providing ongoing support to District school leadership, including the District Chief Administrators Association. Besides co-facilitating board of trustee policy governance training and trustee formation and accompaniment, the director will also serve on the District’s leadership team and on the Louisiana Lasallian Education Corporation (LLEC).
