Saint Paul’s Celebrates 100 Years

logoSaint Paul’s School in Covington, LA is celebrating 100 years of service. Close to a thousand students, faculty, parents, board members, and guests attended a Centennial Mass January 21 to kick off the anniversary celebration. Principal Brother Ray Bulliard called the event spiritually electric. “Eight hundred sixty young men paying tribute to past and representing the future,” he said. “It all came together at that moment.”

Other centennial events include a “Walk Through History,” featuring material from the past 100 years such as yearbooks, pictures, and newspapers. Translated writings of French Brothers who assumed ownership of the school in 1918 were distributed to members of the school community and guests. Charlie McMurray ‘36, the oldest living alumnus, shared stories with students about his time at St. Paul’s.

The celebration will also include a golf tournament, burying a time capsule, and alumni events.
