Extensive information on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the work being done in the USA-Toronto Region and the Institute can now be found in one website on www.fscdena.org/programs/rights-of-the-child/index.php. This is part of an Institute-wide effort to undertake an active educational and advocacy initiative to protect the rights of the child, which was launched in the USAT Region in November 2009, in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the CRC.
The website includes seven parts intended to give visitors a better understanding of the CRC and other organizations concerned with the rights of the child. It also contains a complete documentation of the proceedings of the Lasallian Convocation on the Rights of the Child at the United Nations held from April 25-28, 2010.
