La Salle Institute in Troy, New York, has announced the appointment of Dr. Paul D. Fallon as its new principal effective July 1, 2015. Dr. Fallon will be the third lay principal in the history of the school and first since 2007. He will succeed Brother Carl Malacalza, FSC, who will complete 13 years of service to the school community, the last eight of which were as principal.
Dr. Fallon has an extensive educational background with 26 years experience as a teacher, coach, athletic director, middle school dean, principal, regional superintendent and educational consultant. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps where he attained the rank of captain.
