Coming Up: Lasallian Research Symposium

Research-Symp-2013-for-web

Registration is now open for the Second Annual Symposium on Lasallian Research, which will take place October 27 – 29, 2013, on the Twin Cities campus (Minneapolis) of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota (SMU).

The purpose of the event is to gather creative minds to discuss key areas that comprise the field of Lasallian research today and look to the future of Lasallian research: produce a “white paper” for publication in AXIS: Journal of Lasallian Higher Education; and develop a community of scholars committed to supporting, conducting, and publishing Lasallian research. Keynote speakers include Dr. Suzan Hines, SMU Director of Faculty Development; Dr. Arnulfo Azcarraga, Professor at De La Salle University in Manila and Member-at-Large of the International Association of Lasallian Universities board; and Brother Diego Muñoz, FSC, Director of the Lasallian Research and Resource Service for the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools.

The symposium is sponsored by the Institute for Lasallian Studies at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and the Office of Lasallian Education at Christian Brothers Conference. It is co-sponsored by the International Association of Lasallian Universities (IALU). You can find information on how to register here. To learn more, email Dr. Roxanne Eubank.

The inaugural symposium took place in October 2012 with 43 participants.
