CBC to Welcome Jim Lindsay as Director of Administration

Jim-Lindsay-webChristian Brothers Conference (CBC) will welcome Jim Lindsay as director of administration effective October 24, 2016. Lindsay brings nearly 30 years of leadership and management experience.

After serving for nine years as administrative director of Christ House, a medical recovery residence for homeless men, Lindsay spent the past 20 years as executive director of Catholic Volunteer Network (CVN). CVN is a membership organization with nearly 200 faith-based programs in its network that place more than 20,000 full-time volunteers throughout the world. Lasallian Volunteers (LV) is a member of CVN.

Aside from his work with the LV program through CVN, Lindsay has long-standing Lasallian connections.

“My roots with the Christian Brothers go back three generations,” said Lindsay. “My late Dad graduated from West Catholic High in Philly, and then from La Salle College after the war. My brother and I both graduated from La Salle University, and his three sons all went to La Salle College High School.”

As director of administration, a new role at CBC, Lindsay will be responsible for human resources, financial management and staff management, among other duties.

“I am very excited and honored to be working for Christian Brothers Conference,” said Lindsay. “I am sure I will have a good bit to learn about CBC and the Institute, but I promise all involved with their mission that I will give my time here my all!”

Brother Donald Johanson, FSC, chair of Christian Brothers Major Superiors (CBMS), the board to which Lindsay will report, praised his longtime dedication to service.

“Jim has devoted his life in faithful service to those in need,” said Brother Donald. “His pastoral leadership will be an asset to Christian Brothers Conference, as will his many years of experience leading nonprofit organizations. We are thankful that he accepted our invitation to join us and continue his vocation of service.”

In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree from La Salle University, Lindsay earned a Master of Divinity from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
