Graduates of the Buttimer Institute of Lasallian Studies, Lasallian Leadership Institute, and Lasallian Social Justice Institute are invited to a three-day gathering, September 30 – October 2, 2011, in Chicago, IL. Registration is now open for the Lasallian Formation Reunion, which has for its theme: “Our Lasallian Journey–Sustaining the Mission, Renewing the Passion.”
Brother Raymond Blixt is organizing the event for the purpose of bringing together graduates of Lasallian formation programs, to share their stories and to help in defining the future needs of formation.
Brother Robert Schieler, General Councilor, calls the gathering a response to Circular 461, Associated for the Lasallian Mission… an Act of Hope, which reminds us we are living in a new moment of Lasallian history that requires a fresh response. At the meeting of the USAT Visitors with the Superior General and the General Council in November 2009, the Institute Leadership commended the Region’s formation programs and suggested giving greater attention to local formation with the participation of graduates of Regional programs as animators and facilitators. Bro. Robert hopes this reunion could be a vehicle for actualizing that recommendation.
