AXIS: Lasallian Journal of Higher Education is planning a special section on social inequality within the context of Catholic institutions. The intent of the special section is to examine how the interplay between research addressing some facet of social inequality is shaped, influenced, or comes to fruition within the context of Catholic social teaching or a university’s mission to address social injustice.
The editors of AXIS are looking for original research on any facet of social inequality from both U.S. and international perspectives. Papers might address new developments in racial, social or economic inequality; issues regarding immigration; research on gender and sexuality inequality; inequalities regarding faith traditions; or any other relevant field of inquiry that addresses social inequality.
The deadline for submitting papers is December 31, 2018. Manuscripts should be limited to 5,000-9,000 words including endnotes.
