Young Lasallians

Young Lasallians are the present and future of the Lasallian mission! Typically aged 16 to 35, Young Lasallians include Brothers, professionals, alumni, high school students, collegians and Lasallian Volunteers. Young Lasallians is an international movement, promoted by the International Council of Young Lasallians (ICYL) and the Regional Council of Young Lasallians (RCYL), keeping young adults engaged in the Lasallian mission through faith sharing, service with the poor through education, and community building.

In the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN), the Region, Districts and many ministries offer support to this growing movement, including by creating resources, hosting gatherings, facilitating relationships, and connecting young adults with the larger Lasallian mission.

Several initiatives are designed to engage and unite Lasallians worldwide. Here are a few ways to get involved:

The International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP) takes place annually September 21 (the United Nations’ sanctioned International Day of Peace) through October 21. With a different theme each year, ILDP is a chance for Lasallians to come together in prayer and through activities that celebrate the theme and promote peace. The 2023 theme is ‘Peace Within Our Reach >

The RCYL organized Spring into Action for 11 years from March 15 – April 15 each year. It encouraged Lasallians to volunteer during that time and highlighted service done throughout the year.
